How long have you been on DeviantArt?
Four years now! It feels like it's been forever.
What does your username mean?
Nothing special in my meaning. It's my name! My original username, cryticalvision, has a longer story. My oldest friend and I used to play Vampire: The Masquerade, and we had two characters that were in a band together. The band was named Crytical, and she was Catalyst where I was Vision. It stuck around as my handle (it's also my email handle) ever since--and that was a solid fifteen years ago!
Describe yourself in three words.
Artistic, fun, empathetic
Are you left or right handed?
Right-hand for 90% of things. Left-handed for anything involving aim, strangely enough.
What was your first deviation?
At the least, this is the oldest one still on DA. I love this image.
What is your favourite type of art to create?
Fantasy photography! I love making different worlds and creatures come to life. Cosplay photos are a close second.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be?
Drawing. I have so much mad respect for people who can draw/paint.
What was your first favourite?
Steampunk goggles. Because, of course. What type of art do you tend to favourite the most?
Anything that could be inspirational to me as an artist, or has a tutorial I can utilize later.
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist?
This is an evil question. I have to go with
Sakimichan.
She is amazingly brilliant. If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be?
Some of the cosplayers I follow I would love to meet to talk about their craft and to take their photos.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life?
Too many to name have. Looking at other photographers on DA has helped me be a better photographer myself.
What are your preferred tools to create art?
My Canon EOS7D, my costumer goddess friends, and friends willing to do crazy things.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art?
I love getting out into the hills of California to take advantage of the landscape. Nothing like nature to make you be creative!
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory?
The first time someone commented on one of my photos. I don't get a lot of comments, but every last one makes me feel good because it means I touched someone. <3
